“I came to see Dr. Robert for help with my irregular and painful menstrual cycles. A combination of both acupuncture treatments and taking the herbs prescribed helped me start having a regular cycle. I suffered for years not ever knowing when I would get a period, constantly battling with horrible PMS, until now! I now get my period like clock work, it’s normal and virtually pain free! “I suffered years of painful periods. My cramps were so debilitating and uncomfortable that I would miss days of work each month laying in bed with a heating pad doubled over in pain. After meeting with Dr. Landon Agoado and sharing my story, he immediately started me on herbs and began acupuncture treatments. Within a few short months my periods became much more manageable. I found the acupuncture treatments both relaxing and invigorating.” ~ Shari G. – Coconut Creek, Fl
Acupuncture Works Holistically to Restore Balance
Acupuncture is part of a complete system of diagnosis and treatment focused on restoring and maintaining health and balance by facilitating the smooth flow of life energy or Qi throughout the body. When the circulation of Qi becomes disrupted (by injury, emotions, stress, or poor lifestyle) illness and disease arise.
If you are experiencing any of the conditions listed above, one of our acupuncurists can work with you to discover the root cause of your problem. By placing very thin, sterile needles in various carefully chosen acupuncture points, relief can often be found after the very first session.
Please call us today at 954-586-2273 and schedule your free consultation with one of the acupuncturists. We are also in network with many insurance plans such as Cigna, Aetna, United Healthcare, Humana (and others) and we participate in the discount programs of Blue Cross Blue Shield and Coventry. We are located in Margate just minutes from Coral Springs, Coconut Creek, Parkland and West Boca.
“Dr. Robert Herbst recovered my quality of life! I’ve had problems with long heavy periods for many years. Traditional medication worked for a while but the side effects were brutal on my stomach, making it raw and upset. A friend recommended Dr. Herbst as she had the same problems I have and got great relief with acupuncture and Chinese herbs. Within two of my menstrual cycles there was a drastic difference for the better. The periods were less heavy with less clotting. I felt less cramping and bloated, and my stomach was not raw and upset from medication as it had with traditional medicine in the past. I highly recommend acupuncture and Dr. Herbst, he recovered my quality of life!” ~ Astrid – Coral Springs, Fl
Acupuncture works to Reduce Stress, Headache and Migraine
Women endure headache and migraine largely in part from hormonal imbalances and chronic stress. Acupuncture works to regulate hormones and reduce stress. Acupuncture can be an ideal therapy to use to help you combat stress and enter a more harmonious state. When your body is subjected to constant stress, the Qi of the body becomes stagnated. This stagnation of the flow of Qi causes a myriad of symptoms including anger, irritability, frustration, impatience, depression, digestive issues, and also headache and migraine.
Acupuncture treatment for stress addresses this Qi Stagnation by circulating the stagnate energy in your body. A common treatment involves gently needling the “Four Gates”, which includes the acupuncture points Large Intestine 4 and Liver 3. These points are needled in anatomically similar locations on the hand and foot. Additional acupuncture points may be needled in other areas of the body to strengthen the treatment. Patients typically feel very calm and relaxed and often fall asleep during treatment.
Stress treatments combine acupuncture with Chinese herbal medicine depending on the needs of the patient. Chinese Herbal Medicine includes the use of a large variety of herbs combined into formulas to help calm your mind and reduce pain. These herbal prescriptions are taken on a daily basis between acupuncture visits to enhance the effects of the treatment.
